It is the part that involves getting the word out concerning the product or service. Now, in a more humorous definition... S.H. Simmons, an author and humorist says: " If a young man tells his date she is intelligent, looks lovely, and is a great conversationalist, he is saying the right things to the right person...and that's marketing. If the young man tells his date how handsome, smart and successful he is... that's advertising. If someone else tells the young woman how handsome, smart and successful her date is... that's public relations." In today's world everyone in business, everyone selling products, everyone offering services MUST have a marketing and advertising plan of action that makes sense and that serve the ultimate purpose which is: increase sales, increase revenues.
